CKids of OW Mission:
Our mission is to provide a safe and positive space for children to explore the beauty and wonder of Judaism.
At CKids Orange/Woodbridge, we welcome children and parents into a community of meaningful and authentic Judaism. Together, we form a wholesome family in which all are encouraged to learn, discover, and explore their Jewish identities and futures.
Through the various programming and events that CKids of Orange/Woodbridge has to offer, each child and parent will have a space where they can feel comfortable developing their sense of self, community, and friendships. We believe each child is special and should be celebrated for their unique qualities.
Children who attend CKids of Orange/Woodbridge understand that the Jewish heritage is his/hers to cherish. We believe that curiosity is a virtue, and that every question should be asked.
The outcome is a strong future of Jewish continuity, where every boy and girl holds pride in their heritage and feels confident using Torah values as a guide to make well-balanced life decisions.
Our Curriculum
We hope to engage your child's sense of identity by capturing his/her imagination and attention. Therefore, we put a lot of effort into providing our students with substantive lessons and a positive atmosphere.
Using the highly acclaimed CKids curriculums, students will embark on an adventure of self discovery and commitment. Our curriculum is immersive and transformative and will encourage your child to form deep attachments to the Jewish heroes of our past on practical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
It is our goal to make every year at After School a spectacular one! Using the CKids’ six-year rotational cycle, students delve into the Jewish history, holidays, heroes, and mitzvot, at developmentally appropriate levels. Each year, we zoom in to another important topic from the Torah, learning valuable lessons and building strong Jewish foundations that contribute to the proud Jewish adults of our future.
Using educational tools such as art, theater, filmmaking, STEAM, Virtual Reality and more, students will relive the journey of our ancestors and be given tools to implement the values learned in our story. The deeply engaging curriculum will further your child’s cognitive development and self-expression and give them a strong sense of well being and Jewish pride.
Once a month, our CKids After School gathers for a school-wide assembly highlighting Jewish birthdays and children who have moved up in their Tzivos Hashem ranks. These gatherings nurture a sense of companionship and unity within the school community and give each child their time to shine.
Hebrew is not just another language. It’s the language of our ancestors and the Torah. In Hebrew, each letter holds its unique meaning and depth, and must therefore be explored.
At CKids of Orange/Woodbridge, we believe that learning Hebrew will strengthen one’s Jewish pride, knowledge base, and social-confidence. Hebrew reading is a strong emphasis at our Enrichment program, dedicating time daily to practicing.
Using a variety of Hebrew reading curriculums, we strive to meet each child where they are and provide them with the tools they need to confidently master the Hebrew letters and reading.
Our small teacher-to-student ratios allow each child to receive individualized attention, ensuring they are supported, encouraged, and able to progress at their own pace.
Our Herbew Reading curriculums include:
Aleph Champ, CKids Kriah Journey, Hebrew Scouts
